My Inspiration

Artist Statement / Jingmin Ren

It has been said that the artist’s job is that of revelation. [ James Baldwin, 2017. ]

In essence, Jingmin Ren pursues this task by capturing her response to the spectacular beauty of our world and communicates her experience of this with us through her art practice. 

Ren possesses a most self-effacing and inspiring pure passion for life and subscribes to a passionate belief in her acknowledgement of a core higher power and pure energy that gives us all hope for unity.

She postures that without her depicting and sharing of these simply Devine moments of beauty in the natural world, the magic would be incomplete. Ren is now also teaching art with a passionate desire to share her joy and knowledge.

 I awake each morning to the ever-changing sunrise from the east and appreciate the beauty that radiates and it gives me renewed energy and in turn a deep sense of joy and happiness. I have captured these moments by photographically documenting the sunrise religiously every day for more than two years in order to share with others the connection that I feel each day.

I appreciate everyone who has encouraged and supported my ambition to bring my dream to life. It is my calling and honour to express the beauty and sentiment of our universe and the natural wonders of the world through my art practice.

Originally from China, Ren now calls Sydney Australia her home and is enthusiastically passionate about her new life and art practice in her adopted and embraced homeland of Oz. In addition, she brings so much more to us with her continued love and links to her culturally rich homeland of China. She promotes this eastern and western cultural link through her role as Vice President of the International Cooperation Oil Painter Organisation in Australia and Vice Executive Director of Australian Painting Academy Inc.
